This is a reblog of my site http://geekysweetie.com – Other stuff may appear here such as reblogs from other wordpress.com sites. I blog and reblog about anime, video games, kdrama, toys, technology, and kawaii fashion and decor.
Storm8 Studios also has a lot of other kawaii games including Bakery Story and Dragon Story. Check em out.
Home Design Makeover is a Match 3 game, similar to Homescapes, Gardenscapes, etc. Yes, you do have some options in how to design the home, but not nearly as much flexibility as Design Home.
Design Home is by Crowdstar Inc. They have only one other game, a popular dressup game called Covet Fashion. I have played Covet Fashion for a long time. Design Home plays almost the same as Covet Fashion but the concept is to decorate your room instead of dressup your model.
The concept is similar, you enter timed events and can borrow from your friends’ inventories, or use currently owned items, or purchase furnishing for gems or dollars in game currency. You can also vote on various events to earn more event tickets (called keys in Design home). And like Covet Fashion, the items are from real-world brands and have links to purchase or view the real-world equivalent of the item outside of the app as well.
The thing I love about Design Home is how much flexibility it has. You don’t just pick from 1 of 3 couches or 1 of 3 wallpapers, but hundreds of different items and there are many many items in each room, tables, chairs, accessories, wall decor, etc. This makes your design truly unique and much more exciting and creative than the match 3 system in games like Home Design Makeover or Homescapes.
In the end, I prefer Design Home, it’s more creative and enjoyable. But Home Design Makeover is fun especially if you are a fan of similar Match 3 games. Check them both out and leave a comment below for which game you prefer.
The Y-shaped naked anime girl pillow cover : a shame for the manga world How far will things go? Where is the limit between passion for mangas and sex addiction? Do people buy a Y-shaped naked anime girl pillow cover only to hug it ? Obviously not. Which makes this accessory a real shame to the manga world.
A Y-shaped naked anime girl pillow cover, really?
Yes, you heard us well, it really exists. This pillow cover designed by illustrator Konomi is indeed shaped as a Y and really pictures a naked anime girl. You just have to put your pillow in the place of the head and two bolsters in the place of each leg and here you are, in bed with a fictive naked anime girl. Now, what will you do? Just hug it, really? Actually, if you consider the japanese for “hugging”, which is “daku” and also mean “have sex”, you might only “daku” it, but not in the prospect of a quick, chaste squeeze, let’s be realistic.
If only the pillow case would only have one side designed, we could almost believe in the honesty of the pillow designer, telling yourself that nudism is actually part of anime – at least a little -, but really when the pillow case is double-sided, with the character in the process of undressing on one side and completely out of her clothes on the reverse, let’s be honest, there is absolutely no doubt about what the accessory is aiming for.
And yes, nudism is definitely part of the manga world, let’s not fool ourselves. It is not in all animes, of course, but many show some scenes of nudity, this is certain. Still, it is far from being the central point in our favourite animes and if we like them so much, it is definitely not only for those scenes.
Problem is, if it was just some nudity that was shown, we could understand how fans would get used to see naked people. But they could just take some nudist holidays to fill their craving. Thing is, it is not only nudity but actual sex temptation. And there, even naturist resorts wouldn’t be any help.
So what do people outside the manga world think when they see those kinds of objects as the Y-shaped pillow case? Probably that if the fan didn’t have it, he would maybe fulfill his needs somewhere else, like near schools? Really, such accessories are a shame to the manga world and will never help breaking the taboo on gaming and addiction.
Pusheen box continues to impress with large, big ticket items, and tons of exclusives. Pusheen 2017 Spring Box marks one year of my receiving this quarterly subscription crate, which first debuted in Winter 2015 (I missed out on the first box, boo). Ever since I joined in Spring 2016, I’ve never once been disappointed by the contents of my box, making it by far, the best subscription box for girls.
I received my box in May, which happens to be my birthday, and inside, there’s tons of birthday / party related goods – awesome coincidence. I could throw myself a Pusheen party, but don’t have anyone to invite except for my cats lol.
It came packaged in a cute Bunny / Easter themed Pusheen faced box.
It included things like Photo Booth Props (some assembly required):
Also some cute banner decorations and party balloons. 🙂
You can already see the next item in the above pics, a Pusheen Tshirt, here’s another look. Mine is a wee bit big. I think it will probably shrink though when washed? lol. The colors are so cute and the lil birthday hat Pusheens kill me lol.
This month’s exclusive vinyl figure is an Easter bunny Pusheen with a spring chick on her back.
All that food is going to make you super thirsty, so they’ve given you a bottle opener shaped like our favorite feline.
What party would be complete without some tunes? Enter this adorable Pusheen Wireless Speaker to solve all your party music needs.
Last, but certainly not least, a cute Pusheen selfie stick to capture memories of your party with your friends!
My phone case doesn’t really fit too well in here, and it was a lil difficult to operate, it didn’t seem to support the weight of my phone (or case) too well. Did slightly better when I removed the case. Maybe I just don’t know how to use a selfie stick lol. It seemed “loose” and wanted to flop “forward” from the “square” part that holds the phone… Still cute, but dunno if I’d trust it to hold my expensive Iphone lol.
Also speaking of things flopping forward, Some of the Photo Booth Props seemed floppy – but maybe I’m just a derp and didn’t assemble them correctly. That is about my only complaint in this month’s box.
As always is the case with my Pusheen Box reviews, this is in no way a paid review. They do not even have a referral program. I’m merely sharing photos of all the cuteness because I know it will appeal to my readers.
If you’re interested in getting your own Pusheen Box you can sign up at PusheenBox.com
Packaging: 10/10 – The box is even shaped like Pusheen, the bottom of the box even has jelly bean toes – can’t handle the cuteness.
Quantity of Items: 10/10 – Packed to the top with tons of Pusheen stuff
Quality of Items: 7/10 – this month had a lot of “cheap” “paper goods” such as the photo booth props, banners, balloons, etc. While I was still happy with those (especially given that my birthday is next week lol), I am not used to seeing these lower quality items. Also as mentioned the selfie stick didn’t seem very sturdy to me. — The other items are all super high quality though. And compared to other boxes where you get mostly “cheap” plushies and stationary items, this box still feels higher quality overall.
Size of Items: 8/10 – Many nice larger items such as the Bento, Wireless Speaker, Vinyl Figure, Tshirt, and etc. Offset by a few cheaper/smaller items (mentioned above). Overall, compared to other boxes, Pusheen box consistently delivers more “big ticket” items. Compared to past Pusheen Boxes, the Spring 2017 box has a lot more smaller items as well. Hope this is not a continuing trend in the Summer box. Still mostly satisfied and surprised by the number of expensive, large, nice items. I feel it is well worth the cost of subscription and not just trinkets and baubles.
Variety of Items: 10/10 As always, a nice variety of items, ranging from fashion, to home goods, to toys, to stationary, to even electronics.
Rarity of Items: 10/10 The exclusivity of the items – being only available in this crate and not in any stores, makes this box one of my all time favorites for collector value.
Items Fit Theme: 9/10 Everything is 100% licensed Pusheen Goods. This month’s theme seemed to be a “party” theme and almost all of the items fit this theme, you have food and drink, party decor, music, and memories. It also seemed to have a vague easter theme with the box having bunny ears and the vinyl exclusive this month matching that. Perhaps a better match would have been a party hat Pusheen box and vinyl figure. But that’s a minor thing :).
Overall Value: 64/70 91% A- “Excellent Subscription Box For Girls”
Pusheen Box has now been around for 1 full year – with the first box appearing in Winter 2015. The box is a quarterly subscription service full of cute officially licensed and exclusive Pusheen merchandise. It is by far my favorite Kawaii Subscription Box and I’ve been a subscriber since the Spring Pusheen Box. Each box includes a wide variety of items ranging from home goods, to toys, to clothing and wearable items.
The Winter 2016 Pusheen Box features a ton of cute items. Take a look at my photos below!
First look at the cute packaging which was changed slightly this month to include a “bow”.
It’s winter, which means for many of us, myself included, it’s cold outside, and also cold and flu season. What better way to find warmth and comfort than with a cup of warm tea! The cute Pusheen tea infuser is perfect for this.
The next item goes along with the Tea or Hot Cocoa theme or maybe even great for taking soup to work or school in a cute Stainless Steel Pusheen shaped thermos. The only downside is it is not dishwasher safe and must be washed by hand.
A set of Pusheen shaped Christmas lights – I need to get batteries for mine so I can put them up today before Christmas tomorrow. So cute! After Christmas they’ll be going in my doll room and decorating the window year round 🙂 Would have been better if they could be plugged in instead of battery operated though.
Pusheen Box is a quarterly subscription crate that contains tons of exclusive officially licensed Pusheen merchandise. I’ve posted other Box openings on my blog for the Spring Pusheen Box and Summer Pusheen Box.
My fall 2016 Pusheen Box arrived this week and has a lot of cute fall and halloween themed Pusheen items. It’s back to school season for a lot of folks, and Pusheen Box even has some stuff to help you get ready for the new school year too!
Whether fall means warm apple cider, sweater weather, halloween festivities, or back to school — The Fall 2016 Pusheen Box has got you covered!
Woah the box looks different this month – Pusheen is purple and even has little bat wings – how cute! And he matches our existing Halloween decor here at home too lol.
Packed so nice and neat and full to the very top of the box, a very appealing presentation which makes opening the box even more exciting.
The first item is a Pusheen sweatshirt folded neatly on top.
When we carefully remove the sweater we see more wearable goodies – a pair of Pusheen ears (hair barrettes) and a tail with a clip that you could clip onto the back of said sweater. And a notebook for back to school.
With the costume and sweater out of the way, you can see further into the box, and the next large item is the exclusive Pusheen vinyl figure. This time it’s a cute pink bat (why is he pink though? lol. That’s my fave color, but it’s not very halloween-y? He may have looked better being purple like the box. Still cute though!)
Upon removing the next two large items, we see that the big blue box is a kawaii cup and saucer. I was disappointed to learn that the cup is not microwave safe as it would have been awesome for those cold winter days, but I cook cocoa on the stove and can pour from the sauce pan into the cup so not a big deal.
That’s it for this month 🙂 I still love Pusheen Box — this is not a sponsored review — just love sharing pics of all the kawaii things inside. 🙂 If you’re looking to get your own Pusheen Box you can sign up at http://pusheenbox.com/ — Don’t forget to check out my Spring and Summer Pusheen Box Openings too! and as always you can see more pics on my instagram at http://instagram.com/xenokitten
I leave you with a photo of the fall leaves around here 🙂 Always such a pretty time!
