My AI Art Inspired By Sailor Moon and Runway Fashion Models

Two things that pair really well on beta.dreamstudio.ai are Sailormoon and Runway model. Here are some of the images I made.

Naoko Takeuchi often used designer fashion as her inspiration for sailor moon. And these slight variations of sailor moon inspired fashion designs slay in both comic books and on the runway.

You can check out their website and try it for yourself. It’s art by robots based on the text prompts entered by people. Now everyone can be an artist regardless of skill talent or ability. I’m addicted to creating AI art

I’ve moved on to Photoleap now, but these were created last week using Dreamstudio. Dreamstudio is nice, but Photoleap is more affordable if you’re going to be generating tons of images like me.

I’m still waiting for my Openai Dall-e-2 invite code. From what I’ve seen it’s the best AI art program right now. Can’t wait to try it. Until then, enjoy the below images.

You’ll see a few bonus Pokemon Runway Models here – it didn’t work quite as well as Sailor Moon.

Best Women’s Wide Width Shoes For Walking All Day At Walt Disney World

I’m going to Disney World in October 2021. I am still trying to find that perfect pair of shoes. I have a very very wide flat foot and constant feet/leg/knee pain. I’ve asked around and purchased some shoes based on recommendations from others online. But even some of those recommendations didn’t work out for me. Here’s what’s worked, and what has been returned so far.

Updated 8/01/2021 (newest updates near top):

Easy Spirit Tabata Sandals

I’m so excited to tell you about these shoes. These are my favorite favorite pair from this whole list so far!!

The item I purchased was:

Easy Spirit
Tabata 7 Denim 8.5 WW (EE)
ASIN: B08TVN1NG4

Easy Spirit Tabata 7 | Zappos.com

Tabata 7 by Easy Spirit at Zappos.com. Read Easy Spirit Tabata 7 product reviews, or select the size, width, and color of your choice.

//cdn.embedly.com/widgets/platform.js

Pros:

  • THE MOST COMFORTABLE LIGHTEST WEIGHT SHOE I HAVE EVER OWNED IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!!!!
  • Comes In Double Wide
  • Adjustable Velcro Straps
  • THEY FIT!!!!
  • I wasn’t crazy about the color/style – but other people like them, I get a lot of compliments!
  • SO comfortable – I can’t stress this enough – they’re AMAZING
  • Zappos Return Policy is very generous. I ordered some other shoes which I’ll share below which had to be sent back. Easy peasy. They have a 365 day return policy incase you feel lazy – but the sooner you return – the sooner you get refunded.
  • These ones definitely aren’t being returned though. I am in love with these shoes!

Cons:

  • Literally only comes in this one color
  • There have been many other releases of Tabata by Easy Spirit but this “version 7” is the newest release. I am going to order some of the older versions – in hopes they are the same shoe – just different colors. For example Tabata 2 comes in like 10 colors lol.

Final Verdict: It’s a keeper and it is going to Disney World – FOR SURE – best shoes ever. I’m going to order more.

SAS Embark Sandals

I loved these and almost wanted to keep them, but the ankle strap…. dug into me a bit. Not for us ladies with CANKLES. (fat women who have no definition between calf and ankle lol).

The item I ordered was:

SAS
Embark Nero 8.5 WW – Double Wide (D)
ASIN: B07XG7S25L

SAS Embark | Zappos.com

Embark by SAS at Zappos.com. Read SAS Embark product reviews, or select the size, width, and color of your choice.

//cdn.embedly.com/widgets/platform.js

Pros:

  • Awesome Footbed – Footbed is wide and very cushioned. Felt nice and luxorious.
  • Loved the black with tiny silver sparkle accents – SO pretty – feminine – even SEXY – which is so hard to find in a DOUBLE WIDE women’s shoe.
  • I liked these – I really liked these – except…. (see the Cons)

Cons:

  • It had a hard – VERY thick ankle strap – and yes, all the straps are velcro – BUT I have Cankles. I am extra Cankley. No lie. And my fat folds around my ankle and my fat folded right over this ankle strap.
  • I walked around the house 10-15 minutes and decided that this ankle strap was going to eventually hurt me.
  • It was SO HARD and THICK and just UNFORGIVING as heck.
  • The ankle strap was too thick and went up too high onto my leg. It was the only flaw – but a critical one for me.
  • Also if price is a factor for you – these are almost $200 – but they are VERY attractive shoes – and if you don’t have fat ankles like me – these are very comfy shoes.

Final Verdict: Returned.

Trotters Tiki

These were quite similar to my Vionics ordered before – shared below.

The item I ordered was:

Trotters
Womens Tiki Black Nubuck Leather 8.5 WW (EE)
ASIN: B08P9GS9YL

Trotters Tiki | Zappos.com

Tiki by Trotters at Zappos.com. Read Trotters Tiki product reviews, or select the size, width, and color of your choice.

//cdn.embedly.com/widgets/platform.js

Pros:

  • Double wide
  • All velcro
  • Adjustable
  • Fit pretty well
  • Lightweight
  • Soft
  • Pretty comfy

Cons:

  • The piece in the middle was leaving a little imprint or mark on the top of my foot, so I just removed it, because it just slid across the straps, not sewn on or anything. They look a little weird without it lol. But otherwise, now they fit and feel much better.

Final Verdict: I kept these – They might go to Disney if I don’t find something better. Right now I have 2 or 3 pairs I like better – but these might be a “just in case”.

Skechers Go Walk Arch Support Slides

I bought these from a store called Hitchcock’s – If you send them your measurements – which I did not – they can adjust and size shoes to fit you. And every shoe on their website is wide. The selection – especially for women isn’t great. But these shoes turned out pretty OK – They are coming to Disney World with me.

The Item I purchased was:

GoWalk Grey Arch Fit Slide

Amazingly lightweight, Skechers’ “GOwalk Arch Fit” slide sandal has stretchable padded Lycra ® straps with adjustable glitter buckles, a luxurious molded, high-rebound Arch Fit footbed and a flexible, dual-density Ultra Go TM cushion outsole. Women’s whole sizes 5 to 12 in an extra wide width that fits 2E.

//cdn.embedly.com/widgets/platform.js

Pros:

  • They –mostly– fit there are a FEW issues – see cons below
  • Very lightweight and comfortable
  • They are bouncy soft like moon shoes – whee.
  • They look pretty – I received compliments – people saying they loved my shoes
  • They do stretch some over-time which solves the cons – kinda.
  • Just slip on and off

Cons:

  • They are a LITTLE snug in the width department – just a little. I can’t adjust the strap because it’s not an easily manipulable material. If they had one or two more notches in the straps – or if they were velcro instead of the little needle into the hole design – they’d be flawless. If I contacted Hitchcocks or ordered another pair I bet they could add a few extra holes for me or stretch them using a shoe stretcher. I do find each time I wear them, they’re getting stretched a bit and moulding more to my feet.
  • The buckle and straps don’t lay flat – I think it’s because they’re a little bit too narrow for me – but overtime I noticed this less.
  • Some people might not like the textured footbed, it does take some time to get used to it. It’s intended to massage and stimulate your feet.
  • I didn’t see this wide item available on Skechers website. Might be made special for or adjusted by Hitchcocks.

Final Verdict: I kept them, wear them a lot – and they’ll be going to Disney World.

Kizik Women’s Cairo

The item I purchased was: Kizik Women’s Cairo

Women’s Cairo – Bahama

Say hello to your new favorite shoe — The Madrid is the perfect shoe for all-day wear around the house or a casual day at the office. Designed using our environmentally-friendly fabric made from 100% recycled plastic bottles. Built with our patented F.A.S.T.

//cdn.embedly.com/widgets/platform.js

I saw these on Facebook. They’re supposed to stretch to fit your feet and be able to put on just by stepping into them. They do not make wide sizes, but I thought since they’re so stretchy, they might fit. I was wrong.

Pros:

  • A lot of colors and styles
  • You can just step into them (if they fit you – they didn’t fit me)

Cons:

  • Not wide – at all – hurt my foot – I did get it on, but almost couldn’t get it off lol
  • Return process is a huge hassle. I didn’t see any way to return them so I emailed their support team and it took them almost 3 weeks to respond to me. They sent me a label in the mail and also one I can print myself. So I am in the process of returning these.
  • Expensive – but so are a lot of others on our list. These ones are $99 before shipping and taxes and etc.

Final Verdict: Not wide enough for me – returning. – And their return process is a hassle. I recommend avoiding these because of the lengthy return process.

Propet Women’s Joelle Slide Sandals

These came in a double wide, so I gave them a shot, despite another pair of Propets being very ill-fitting below.

The item I purchased was: Propet Women’s Joelle Slide Sandals from Famous Footwear.

Propet
Women’s Joelle Medium/Wide Slide Sandal
Color: Blue Snake Leather
Size: 8.5 2E EXTRA WIDE
Quantity: 1

Pros:

  • I think they fit better than the last pair of Propets below
  • Velcro adjustable straps
  • Super easy return policy (Spoiler: I returned these lol) Just walked right into Famous Footwear – showed my order confirmation email, they scanned a thing, and put the funds back on my card. I like that.

Cons:

  • The footbed had some weird design of a raised color strip of shreded fabric or shreded leather – as a design choice – it’s weird because no one will see it on the footbed – and from a comfort standpoint – it was hurting my feet – rubbing and pressing around my arches.

Final Verdict: Returned to my local Famous Footwear – Easiest return out of all of these so far.

Propet’s Women Walker’s Sandal

These are the other Propets I ordered. These ones came from Amazon. They are the illest fitting shoes I’ve ever purchased and were quickly returned. Thanks to Amazon Prime I was able to return these to my local Kohls.

The item I purchased was:

Propet Women’s W0001 Breeze Walker Sandal, Black Grain, 8 X (US Women’s 8 EE)

Propét Women’s Breeze Walker Sandal

Buy Propét Women’s Breeze Walker Sandal and other Walking at Amazon.com. Our wide selection is eligible for free shipping and free returns.

//cdn.embedly.com/widgets/platform.js

Pros:

  • I dunno because they didn’t fit me in width nor length
  • Amazon Prime Members can return to local stores such as Kohls and Whole Foods.

Cons:

  • Definitely did not fit me. My toes hung over the edge. Order at least one size up if you’re ordering these.
  • They looked and felt cheaply made.

Final Verdict: Returned.

Telic Boise Bliss Rose Quartz

This is another pair from a Facebook Ad. They didn’t come in Wide so I ordered a size up just to try. I did poke my own extra holes in the straps using a nail – and a lot of effort lol. After poking them, I knew I couldn’t return them – but now they mostly fit me – I might have to poke one more hole in one of them – the other one is perfect – we all have one bigger foot you know. So I kept these. They’re mostly sold out at this time.

The item I purchased was: Telic Boise Bliss Rose Quartz size M – US Women’s 9 / Men’s 8

Rose Quartz

This beautifully designed sandal has an anatomically correct footbed and is offered in four colors. With a slight wedge and adjustable straps, it can be dressed up or dressed down. It is contoured to support the arches of your feet and has a deep heel cup with great medial arch and metatarsal support.

//cdn.embedly.com/widgets/platform.js

Pros:

  • They are made of a spongey type of material so you can pierce the straps with a nail to add some extra holes to increase the width
  • Good arch support
  • Lightweight
  • Comfy
  • So many colors – I love the pink ones I ordered but also love the mint green color too.
  • Slip on design

Cons:

  • If you don’t want to stab them with a nail to add some more holes to both straps – I would say these are not for wide feet.
  • The fact that I can stab and pierce the material – makes me wonder – what would happen if I stepped on a nail or rock or piece of glass – etc LOL – I think they’re overcharging for really super cheap rubbery material and am pretty concerned that these will not hold up well overtime.
  • The thing that makes them a Pro in this case might also be a Con lol.

Final Verdict: I kept them, I like/love them, but not sure if they will come to Disney because of the above-mentioned uhm porosity (I guess for lack of a better word) or sponginess of the materials used in construction? Glad I got them though since they’re sold out now in my size.

Teva Women’s Ascona Sport Web

The Item I purchased: Teva Women’s Ascona Sport Web 8.5 (they didn’t offer wide, but it had adjustable straps so I took a chance. It is not the item in the pic below).

Sadly, this is another return for me. It almost fit, except for the strap closest to the ankle strap (not the ankle strap itself, the next one up.) There’s a good 2 inches between end one and end 2. All of the other straps fit well. Ankle, and the 2 or 3 toe straps. But the one strap right on the middle of the foot – too short. I can’t fasten it.

Pros:

  • Footbed Felt Super Soft And Cushioned And Awesome
  • Every strap except for one fit me
  • Could have probably cut that strap off and still had a secure fit – but too expensive for that much trouble
  • Light weight!!! MUCH lighter than my other Teva reviewed below (the ones I actually kept.)

Cons:

That one damn strap is super short and it’s tied to the other straps above, so if I loosen it, the others get too tight.

  • It just doesn’t fit
  • Not wide enough
  • About 2-3 inches too short of a strap
  • Does not come in Wide

Final Verdict: Not wide enough, returning. Almost fit, except for one strap not being long enough – had that one strap been longer – they would have been quite comfortable. I debated just cutting that strap off – but for $80.00 I rather return them for a refund.

Clarks Women’s Arla Gracie Sandal

The item I purchased was:

I purchased this one through Amazon. I went with an 8.5 Wide in the coral color.

Clarks womens Arla Gracie Sandal, Bright Coral Textile, 8.5 Wide US

//cdn.embedly.com/widgets/platform.js

Unfortunately, these cute strappy sandals didn’t fit. Not wide enough for me to get my foot into the top part of them. Since only the ankle strap was adjustable – and even that was tight. Despite being marketed as wide shoes, these just aren’t wide at all.

Pros:

  • Comfy Footbed With Lots Of Cushioning
  • Cute feminine colors

Cons:

  • Not wide enough
  • Only one strap is adjustable
  • Seemed to run long in length

Final Verdict: Returning these ones since I can’t even get them on

Hoka

The Item I tried on was:

HOKA ONE ONE Women’s Bondi 7 Running Shoes in 8.5 wide

HOKA ONE ONE Women’s Bondi 7 Running Shoes

Shop a wide selection of HOKA ONE ONE Women’s Bondi 7 Running Shoes at DICK’S Sporting Goods and order online for the finest quality products from the top brands you trust.

//cdn.embedly.com/widgets/platform.js

Someone recommended these to me today and to my surprise, my local Dick’s had them in an 8.5 wide (my usual size). Also to my surprise, they are SO TIGHT and Ill-Fitting and HARD as rocks and HURT that I only kept em on my feet for 5 seconds. I couldn’t stand it AT ALL. It felt like something was PRESSING DOWN HARD on the top of my foot. I assume they just weren’t wide enough for me, despite being marketed as wide width. Works for some people, some people love them, but NOT ME – worst of the worst! Absolutely horrible. Glad I was able to try them on and save myself $150 and the hassle of returns.

Pros:

  • Colorful
  • Lightweight
  • Firm Arch Support
  • Available locally even in small towns

Cons:

  • Even the wide evidentally is not wide enough for me
  • SOMETHING was PRESSING DOWN on the top of my foot
  • Excruciating Pain – never felt pain like this in my whole life from a pair of shoes. Removed them immediately.
  • Again the idea of wearing tennis shoes at Disney World worries me because of heat, humidity, water rides, wet socks, and wet shoes, and sweaty feet causing blisters. Other people do it, but I much prefer an open toe design and waterproof shoe without needing socks.
  • Expensive – $150 at my local Dicks

Final Verdict: Absolutely hated them. Grateful Dicks had them so I could try them on. They hurt worse than any shoe I’ve ever had on my feet in my life. Simply NOT WIDE enough even though they supposedly were “wide width”

Comfortview

I purchased this item last week from Woman Within because they were on clearance.

The Item I purchased was:

The Alivia Sandal

  • Color: Dusty Pink
  • Size: 8-WW
  • Price: $23.39
  • Quantity: 1

The Alivia Sandal

Set the standard for comfortable summer footwear with these must-have water-friendly sandals. Nubuck-like upper with lycra-like lining Water-friendly footbed Padded insole Flexible, skid-resistant outsole 1¼” stable flat heel Water-friendly footbed sandals available in full and half sizes 7-11, 12 M, W, WW

//cdn.embedly.com/widgets/platform.js

Even though it was marked as double wide, not wide enough AGAIN for me, couldn’t even get my feet inside even though I pulled and stretched and yanked at the upper part of the shoes for a good 15 minutes. The soles feel wonderful, but the upper part is too tight, my ankle is hanging off the back of the shoe, because my feet are too fat to push my feet forward all the way into the toe space. I can only get in about 2/3 of the way. At least I purchased them on massive clearance. The sale is over now and they’re back up to over $80.

Pros:

  • Cute Colors
  • Comfy Soles
  • Lightweight
  • Slip On Design
  • Breathable Open Toe Design

Cons:

  • Even the double Wide is too narrow – my feet just can’t fit. I’m bummed about that. So back they go.

Final Verdict: Wanted to love them, got a great buy, and it’s actually going to cost me half that price almost ($9.99) to return them, but they just aren’t wide enough for me and don’t fit me. Sigh. Story of my life!!

Brooks Running Shoes

The Item I purchased was:

//cdn.embedly.com/widgets/platform.js

These were the first shoes recommended to me for Disney World. They are plenty wide enough, going up to double wide in a few select styles. They might be almost TOO wide…. NOT SURE yet… They DO have a generous 90 day return policy even if worn and used. I’m on the fence about returning these and trying for just single wide instead of double wide…. My foot slips in these and I feel the heel of the shoe rubbing my heel which I think after 10-12 miles a day for 8 days, my feet will kill me and have angry heel blisters… I don’t know what to do. I don’t know if I need a smaller width, or a smaller length… Or both maybe. I have until September 11, 2021 to return these, and I think they’ll be going back. Also with Florida heat and humidity and water rides at the parks… I think soggy sweaty shoes and wet socks will also produce some scary blisters. Not to mention my feet feel hot and warm in these already, even here near Pittsburgh where the heat and humidity are much milder than in Florida.

Pros:

  • 90 Day Return Policy Even When Worn And Used
  • Plenty Wide Enough – Even Maybe Too Wide…
  • Great Support And Traction
  • Balance Correcting Shoes
  • Looks Nice

Cons:

  • Expensive
  • Too Wide For Me (or I need to go down in length not sure. Shopping for shoes online is so hard!)
  • Only 2 colors/styles available for Women’s Double Wide Widths
  • Honestly not comfortable, between my heel slipping and rubbing the back of the shoe, and just being super hard and firm, these don’t feel comfortable at all.
  • Fear Of Blisters From Heel Slipping And Rubbing Back Of Shoe
  • Fear Of Heat/Sweat/Water

Final verdict: Probably going to return. Not Sure If I’ll Exchange Them For Another Size Or Just Get Refund.

Fit Flops

The item I purchased was:

WALKSTAR

Product code: 193998989904
Red
uk 6 us 8 eu 39
Qty: 1

Women’s Walkstar Polyester-Webbing-Leather Toe-Thongs

Forever a favorite, our original, one and only, wide-fit, sporty webbing Walkstar is back! The sandal that launched FitFlop (in 2007), that sold millions worldwide, and sparked instant devotion in the women who wore it.

//cdn.embedly.com/widgets/platform.js

Several people recommended Fit Flops. I can never wear regular Flip Flops because of my super wide feet. My widest part is right before the toes begin at the top of the foot. So the way Flip Flops have that inverted V style strap makes them too narrow to fit my feet. People promised me that Fit Flops were different. And the footbed (in my hands) felt so soft and light and amazing… BUT… for me… I couldn’t get my wide feet into these darn things – as expected. No can do. Already sent them back and still waiting on my refund. I was sad to have to return these because they are so cute. But they literally don’t fit. If you have wide feet – like REALLY WIDE feet – like me – these are a hard pass.

Pros:

  • Beautiful colors and large selection
  • Feels like a nice light weight soft material
  • Breathable, Cool, and Waterproof

Cons:

  • Not Wide Enough – Literally could not get my feet even half way inside them

Final Verdict: Returned about 2 weeks ago – still waiting on my refund.

Tevas

The Item I purchased was:

W HURRICANE XLT2 – CC

Qty: 1

Color: PINK

Size: 08

Product Total: $90.00

Hurricane XLT2 Christian Cowan

Tapping into Christian Cowan’s unquestionably fierce aesthetic, we teamed up with the designer to inject the classic Hurricane with high shine metallics and head-turning hues. Enlisting glittering, plant-based connector straps, this cool-wearing, quick-drying spinoff is offered in an extended size range for ultimate inclusivity.

//cdn.embedly.com/widgets/platform.js

I decided to keep my Tevas Hurricanes although I’m NOT sure they’re the right shoes for Disney World. They’re JUST BARELY wide enough. And they feel extremely heavy on my feet. They have a million (OK 3 or 4) velcro adjustable straps. And again, my problem area is the top of my foot shortly before where my toes begin. I’m super wide at this point. There is a strap right at this point… It’s velcro so I can adjust it, but… even as loosely as I can make that strap it still feels a little bit snug. If I try to cheat and make it even looser by not lining up the velcro exactly, I can feel velcro digging at me sometimes. And there’s a big metal buckle on my pair (not shown in the picture I see my link is generating here on this article) But the big metal buckle is pinching my wide feet. I feel like it could ALMOST work, but not quite… But they’re pink and have glitter – and I can never find cute feminine shoes in a wide width… and for like day to day errands and stuff – they’re fine… I just don’t think they’re “DISNEY WORLD FINE”. For Disney World, I need better than Fine – I need EXTREME COMFORT and EXCELLENT FIT. This is like “Mostly Fits” and “Kinda Comfy” But misses the mark for me, but not enough so that I would return them. In Fact, I MIGHT try to order a second pair of Tevas – but one without that metal buckle – and maybe order a size up to see if that gives me some more width.

Pros:

  • SO CUTE COLORS AND STYLES
  • Comfy Footbed
  • Water Proof
  • Breathable
  • Cool
  • Adjustable

Cons:

  • Despite Being Adjustable – They’re still not REALLY wide enough. The back ankle strap is SOOOOO long that the designer’s logo is on the side of my ankle and could STILL go tighter – MEANWHILE the Toe Strap(s) are too short to REALLY fit my Wide Feet
  • That Damn Buckle Is So Hard And Pokes My Foot
  • Velcro Can Be Felt Rubbing Against My Feet If I Don’t Have The Straps Done Right
  • They ARE HEAVY!!!!! SUPER HEAVY!!! UGH….

Final Verdict: Kept Them – MIGHT try them at Disney World – But most likely will just keep them for day to day use. Might order another pair of Tevas in a different style – specifically one without a metal buckle, and might order a size up to see if that offers any more width.

Vionics:

The item I ordered was from Amazon this time

These are my leading pair here so far – saved the best for last right? I ordered mine on Amazon and the reviews mention that the velcro will break after a few weeks – I’ve only had my pair for about 3 days so I don’t know yet how durable these shoes really are. But DAMN GIRL these shoes are SO LIGHT and COMFY and PLENTY WIDE. And the pale pink color looks fabulous with a wide range of skin tones and colors. They are Cute and Comfy and WIDE – but not TOO wide – Perfect width for my Wide feet. I love them. I’ve been wearing them every day for the past three days since they arrived.

Pros:

  • Wide Enough And Not Too Wide
  • Super Comfy Cushioned Footbed
  • LIGHT WEIGHT!! YES
  • Breathable Open Toe Design

Cons:

  • Might Not Be Waterproof – Might Have Some Issues Once They Get Wet – We Will See?
  • Several users have reported that the velcro wears out extremely quickly or that the straps break; I have not owned mine long enough to find out – but it would suck to find this out at Walt Disney World.

Final Verdict: IT’S A KEEPER – I’m definitely still looking for 1 or 2 more good pairs of shoes to switch in between each day at Disney World (which is what people recommend regardless of what shoes you take). In this case, also taking some other pairs along in case the velcro breaks on these like so many reviewers complain of on Amazon. Just in case!

So What Do I Normally Wear When I’m Not At Disney World?

We all have feet and we all have places to go and in the USA everywhere is “No Shirt, No Shoes, No Service” So obviously I’m wearing SOMETHING already every day right? Well yes, obviously. But they’re not the comfiest. They START OUT amazing – but over time they hurt my feet.

My GO TO – summer casual shoes are Under Armor Velcro Slides. I have been buying a new pair every summer. I took them to the beach, went in the ocean in them, and everything. They’re SO comfy and fit perfectly on my wide feet. They might be Men’s shoes or unisex shoes I’m not sure – but they fit me! so YAY.

Under Amor Slides:

In fact, as I typed up this review I decided to go ahead and order another pair.

The item I just ordered is:

Women’s UA Ignite IX Slides

Sku: 3022717-300-8

Color: Breeze / Stellar Pink – 300

Size: 8

Qty: 1

Women’s UA Ignite IX Slides

The memory foam not only feels great, but also helps eliminate pressure on your feet after you work out. Adjustable synthetic strap with soft foam underneath for added comfort Footbed built with two layers of Performance 4D Foam® for unprecedented comfort Anatomical contours provide additional cushioning Re-engineered EVA outsole built with durable traction pods in heel for lightweight cushioning & comfort ONLY AVAILABLE IN THE UNDER ARMOUR APP.

//cdn.embedly.com/widgets/platform.js

The problem begins after months of use – they get… worn down? I don’t know how else to describe it… The memory foam in the sole loses its cushioning – and I feel a very very strong impact with EVERY step. I think that’s why my feet are in pain every day even when I’m not doing anything, even sitting or laying or barefoot. My feet and legs and knees hurt always. These shoes start out feeling like walking on clouds but after just day to day use they get smooshed down until they have NO shock Absorption at all… DEFINITELY NOT APPROPRIATE FOR DISNEY WORLD… NO WAY. Shock Absorption is SO IMPORTANT. You will walk an average of 10-12 miles a day!! and most people do 8-10 days in Disney – so you’ll rack up about 100 miles at the end of your trip!!! Imagine that with no shock absorption – YIKES….

While I mostly love under armor slides for day-to-day errands or even shorter trips with less activity, I don’t recommend them for Disney World.

But if you want a comfy pair of slides, check them out. I got mine at Dick’s. And then I just ordered another pair right now on Under Amor’s official site.

Pros:

  • Tons and Tons Of CUTE COLORS
  • WIDE! Fit Great!
  • At First They Feel AMAZING Like Walking On Clouds (But that quickly changes)
  • Still Even After The Cushioning Is Worn Down, They Remain Lightweight, Breathable, And Even Waterproof
  • CHEAP – $29.99!!! Compared to shoes on this list that cost $160 or up – these are a steal.

Cons:

  • The Cushioning Gets Worn Down SUPER QUICKLY
  • Which Leads To Having NO SHOCK ABSORPTION AT ALL!
  • Probably Damaging My Feet In The Long Run…

Final Verdict: Still Love Them, Buy Them Every Year. I will probably wear these on the plane and around the hotel resort anyways so they’ll still be coming to Disney World – but I think around the park, they will hurt me because of no Shock Absorption. Maybe my new pair I just ordered will last the week – but putting 100 miles on them by the end of the week, I know they’ll be shot down afterward. Still, for $29, throw them away, or bring a couple of pairs, and throw each of them away after.

What Do I Wear In Rain Or Snow?

You won’t have to worry about Snow in Florida at Disney World – and even if there’s rain, many of the shoes on this list are waterproof and the rain is usually fleeting and mild. But if you’re like me, and live in a cold climate where it snows 6+ months out of the year, you might be looking for a nice year round shoe that will protect you from the elements.

I generally tend to prefer Skechers and Bobs (a brand also by Skechers) because they run wider than most of their competitors. I did buy a pair of Nike, wide or even extra-wide, last year, or the year before and those have been my go to winter shoes but I will say – Every shoe is different even by the same manufacturer. I tried on like 4 Nike “Wide” and only one fit me – and after having them a year or two… I STILL notice they’re just not wide enough to be comfy for me. I feel a pinch near the toe box area. Not at the front, not in length, but on each side, squeezing my toes.

Someone recommended to me to try Men’s shoes that they run wider, but my own research suggests that men’s shoes are wider at the heel, and narrower at the toe. And women’s shoes are wider at the toe and narrower at the heels. Apparently, men’s and women’s feet are shaped differently, who knew right? So I have not tried a men’s wide Nike yet, and I dunno if I would try it or not.

In high school I also used to buy Fila, because I felt that they also ran wider than most other brands.

Your mileage may vary.

No two feet are exactly alike.

No matter what, bring multiple pairs of shoes to Disney World and walk several miles first to break them in.

Happy shopping – and have a great time at Disney, blisters and all. What are a few blisters, compared to once in a lifetime vacation memories, right? 🙂

If you’re going in October for the 50th anniversary, maybe see you there!!

I will update this post as I continue to buy new shoes. I have one more pair on its way in the mail. Check back for new updates up through October.

After my trip in October, I’ll update this article to let you know which shoes I decided to take, and how each one made me feel after each day in the parks.

Stay tuned!

Alice Closet Anime Dressup Mobile Game Review

Title: Alice Closet

Cost: Free

Platform: IOS or Android

Genre: Anime Dressup Game

Release Date: 06/17/21

Language: English

Where To Download: https://www.alice-closet.com/

I recently shared news of the launch of Alice Closet, a new free mobile game with anime artwork by famed manga artist Arina Tanemura. Arina’s works include Full Moon Wo Sagashite, Phantom Thief Jeanne, and Time Stranger Kyoko, just to name a few popular shoujo manga by this artist.

I have been playing the game since launch and I am loving it so far. I did purchase some of the cash items admittedly, but the game is free to play and the cash items are totally optional.

The game offers a lot of dressup options by allowing you to control 4 characters at once pretty early on in the game.

Gameplay: 10/10 Gameplay is similar to other anime dressup games. You play gacha or complete story levels, quests, and achievements to unlock new outfits for your characters. You can piece together unique outfits from multiple layered items such as Hair, hats, headbands, hair accessories (yes you can wear all 3 of those categories at once if you want), shoes, socks, pants, skirts, dresses, coats, leg accessories, arm accessories, hand held objects, floor objects, etc. Objects are ranked based on scores such as fancy, cute, elegant, cool, warm, rural, etc.

Use your outfits to complete story driven levels, or go head to head with other players in fashion battles. The fashion battles reset weekly with prizes going to those who rank well. You can see how you rank with friends or against the whole server.

You can unlock limited time titles, event items, and more by participating in the frequent time limited events and other special content. Since the game just launched, there are a lot of events going on right now. Some examples of in game events currently being held include a themed cafe “mini level” where you earn “cake”. It plays similar to the story levels of the game, all single player. You can trade the cakes for limited time outfits. You are also scored and ranked based on how many cakes you’ve collected throughout the event.

Other events include time limited gacha outfits that only stay around for a few days at a time. There’s also more permanent gacha and some even offer free spins every few hours.

Other gameplay elements include running your own store. You must serve NPC customers who come to your shop by fulfilling their requests by dressing them in your existing items (don’t worry you aren’t actually selling or losing your items). Example, a customer might request elegant hair accesories and socks and a budget of 5,000 gold.

After you serve your customers, you will earn points and again be scored and ranked each week for how successful your store is. You might also encounter VIP customers who if you service them repeatedly will reward you with rare outfits and more.

Story: 5/10 – A twist on Alice In Wonderland. I did read the story up through chapter 1-5 or so, I saw the berserk Alice and thought that was interesting. But at some times – most of the times honestly – the story drags. I started skipping story, but will occasionally read it still if something looks interesting.

The basic premise is that you are from Earth and meet a young man from another world when both of you suddenly get teleported to his world. He tells you about mana and seeds and Alice. Alice are lifelike dolls, and the world is full of Alice owners. Alice owners love to challenge eachother to dressup battles to see whose Alice is the most powerful. Meanwhile you’re searching for a way home.

Early in the game, there is a lot of foreshadowing about berserk Alice and bad things happening a long time ago. It begins to repeat itself but you and your Alice save the day. Shiki seems strange after that and mumbles about having seen something like that before. Edgar also seems to know more than he tells you.

After learning about the legendary Alice and berserk Alice, you are invited to a special Alice competition by invite only. A Strange rabbit appears too.

Characters 6/10 – The characters are all based on Alice in Wonderland – There’s Gren the mad hatter, Shiki (I dunno if he is the white rabbit or if the rabbit is the white rabbit), Edgar (I haven’t figured out who he most closely resembles, maybe the catepillar?), The queen of hearts, a Lolita girl (also haven’t decided which character she is supposed to be). Etc. I like this twist on a new Alice in Wonderland story. It’s something I’ve seen before in other anime and otome, but not quite like this. I also love the Alice(s) themselves as I collect real life anime dolls, so the game fondly reminds me of my dolls. And dressing up and customizing the Alices is the best part. Ultimately though the story and character development are too slow to grow deeply connected to any of the characters.

Voice Acting: 8/10 The characters are partially but not fully voiced. There are a few typos in dialogue and the voices are in Japanese only at this time. The voice acting is actually good though.

Music: 6/10 Not many tracks, but the ones that are there are very nice.

Graphics: 10/10 – definitely the highlight of this game is the gorgeous artwork by Arina Tanemura. I would play this game just for the artwork alone. Some items are even animated. So many options with layering and other things too. It’s a beautiful game, especially for shoujo or lolita fans.

Replay Value: 10/10 – so many events, limited time items, quests, and daily tasks. I’m a daily player already hooked. Love it.

Community: 4/10 – No guild system? Or I’m not far enough to have unlocked it? No chat system. They do have an official facebook page for fans. And there are plenty of ranked and scored competitions with other players. You do have a large friendlist capacity up to 200 people, but seems you can’t do much besides send eachother stamina, view photos/outfits, see your rankings, and vote/compete in the online competitions with your friends. Seems they could’ve done more here honestly.

Overall: 59/80 74% C “Good Game For Girls”

Flipped In Love Anime Dressup Game Review

I think Flipped In Love, Project Star, and Starry Love are all the same game – but different! The gameplay in Flipped In Love (and possibly Project Star, I haven’t gotten far enough to unlock it yet) allows you to breed rare cats that get genetic markings and stats from their parents. Obviously, that’s not the main feature in Flipped In Love. But it’s probably my favorite feature in the game.

Flipped In Love is first and foremost an anime dressup game. You unlock rare outfits and accessories and dressup your avatar to compete in fashion battles. You recruit team members, join guilds, garden, cook, and as mentioned raise cats. But the other big chunk of the game is that it’s also an anime otome dating sim game. There’s 4 guys you can date from the childhood friend to the tsundere to the childlike one to the artistic one. These 4 stereotypes are featured in multiple similar games, Flipped in Love, Project Star, and Starry Love, as well as Wannabe Challenge and Mr Love Queen’s Choice… and probably many more games.

The reason that I’m fairly certain this little trio of games is somehow related is that the story and premise in each of them are almost identical. Flipped In Love and Project Star literally have the exact same story. You fall into the water and die. In Flipped In Love you wake up in someone’s body. In Project Star you wake up in your own body but 5 years in the past. Starry Love has you run into traffic and get hit by a car and wake up in your own body in the past also. In each case it is your boyfriend who betrays you who leads to your death and your goal is to become a top star to get revenge on your ex. All 3 games you’re an idol. In Project Star and Starry Love you’re a live streamer. In Flipped in Love I think you’re an idol singer but still similar concept. The gameplay in Project Star and Starry Love has you performing live streams. All 3 games let you admire other players in the rankings for free diamonds. Flipped in Love and Starry Love have the lifetime membership card to get rid of ads with a one time purchase (and other benefits). Flipped In Love and Project Star have a cat raising feature I think (I have to get to chapter 9 in Project Star to unlock the cats). Gameplay is similar in all 3 games. Dressup, play gacha, date, build a guild, fashion battles, story progression, etc.

I’ve seen this before. Romantic Diary also had another version of the game, with a different name, both available in the US app stores. But Romantic Diary and its clone were exact clones. That’s NOT the case with Flipped In Love and its similar entries. Here’s how they differ from each other. Each of these games has completely different graphics. That’s the most notable difference. Project Star has very cute pastel kinda more anime looking graphics. Completely different character designs in all 3 games. Different character names. Different fashion items. Flipped In Love is still anime, but more modern like real red carpet type looks and less anime or fantasy looking items. I would say the same is true also of Starry Love. Yes it’s anime still but less of the big round cute eyes and more realistic looking hair and eyes and so on. And each game has a different soundtrack and different voice actors too.

Perhaps they were part of a series of games, and each installment in the series got picked up for localization by a different company and hence the different names and different graphics and so on.

Anyways regardless, all 3 games are a lot of fun and highly recommended to all girl gamers who love anime dressup games or otome dating sims. I’ve put the most time into Starry Love since I played it first. I had the other apps on my phone but didn’t get around to checking them out until a few days ago. I think out of the 3, Project Star is my favorite for the graphics, and Flipped In Love is my favorite for the gameplay – but if I get further into Project Star and see the cat feature is the same or better than Flipped in Love, I’d definitely recommend Project Star as the best of the 3. But I won’t stop playing any of them, especially not Starry Love because I’m in the top 20 players in the world in that game.

I do recommend the lifetime pass for both Starry Love and Flipped In Love. It’s so nice to play without ads! And it’s just a one time $9.99 price – worth it! Plus you get free items and diamonds every day. I did not buy the monthly passes – I have enough monthly subscriptions as it is already. LOL. But I’m tempted to buy it in Flipped In Love to get more diamonds so I can unlock more cat feeding slots in cat city.

So let’s dive into looking at Flipped In Love.

Overall:

Geeky: 4/5 – Flipped In Love’s gameplay outshines the other similar games. It offers so many gameplay features that they recently redesigned the interface because it was becoming cluttered with buttons. It’s still a casual mobile game at heart, but for a dressup game there’s a lot of stuff to do. One of the best features is raising and breeding cats. Extremely addictive and unique gameplay. They are working on improving the game all the time. Right now they are offering rewards to help them with typos or Engrish since English is not their first language.

Sweetie: 5/5 – So cute, so many outfits, so many things to do. The cats! The cats! Did I mention you can breed cats? LOL I like that almost more than the main gameplay lol.

Gameplay: 10/10 This game offers so much to do that it can be a little overwhelming. Here are just a few of the things you can experience in Flipped In Love. The most important feature is dressing up your avatar. You can unlock new outfits by completing story or event challenges, as well as through quests and leveling up. But, the most common way to earn new outfits is by playing the Gacha which rewards random items.

The next big aspect of this game is that it is an otome dating sim game for girls. You can date 4 different cute guys to get to learn more about them, unlock event scenes, and level them up to help improve your overall market value.

Market value is used to rank you online with other players. You can increase your market value by unlocking new outfits, dating the guys, completing quests and events, or progressing through the story.

There are also several side characters who will join your team. These, like the guys, can also be leveled up to increase your market value. Side characters can take classes at a university to boost their stats, or you can spend experience points to level them up.

The guys and various side characters have skills that unlock as they level up which boost other party members’ skills and abilities.

Take your team into battle in story mode against NPCs or PK red carpet events against other players. There’s also guild events such as team building and team battles to see whose guild is the best.

There’s a chat system in the game, and unlike the other 2 similar games, you can upload your own photo as your avatar – mine is of my cat right now. You can change chat bubbles and frames just like in Starry Love.

Eventually your characters will need to be promoted to unlock new levels and higher skills. The trophy items can be combined to merge them into higher level items to keep progressing. This is also the same in Starry Love.

Wishing for new outfits in the gacha system is way easier and quicker in Flipped In Love. Starry Love gives you one free gacha draw a day, but Flipped In Love has special wish tickets you can earn fairly easy. I get multiple 10-wish draws (for 4 star items) each day. On top of that, Flipped In Love lets you play two different Gacha for free each day.

Speaking of free – Flipped In Love also lets you play the cat blind box for free about once every 2 days. Right now there’s 3 or 4 different themes going on – I don’t know if they are limited time themes or a constant in the game. Each theme has 10 different cats to collect, including one rare 5 star cat in each blind box.

You can also go on tour, where you will find many nice items, including rare cats, each day for absolutely free. You also find diamonds, coins, stamina, and props for your characters.

But back to the cats. There’s a place in Flipped In Love called Cat City. Here’s where the magic happens. LOL. It’s my favorite! Any unnamed cats you’ve found will be waiting for you in the cat hostel. Give them a name and start feeding them to level them up to maturity. Even if you don’t or can’t feed them, they will eventually mature on their own. But feeding them speeds up the process a great deal. It’s still really slow though. I paid a lot of diamonds to unlock about 10 slots to feed multiple cats – and they’re all full right now and waiting to grow up. I have one unnamed cat waiting for me back in the cat hostel. I think the tutorial said you can have 200 waiting for you. If for some reason you don’t like a cat, you can sell them to the NPC to get cat coins which can be used to purchase fertilizer, seeds, cat food, or cat bells.

The seeds and fertilizer are used in cat city to grow ingredients to make your own cat food. Seeds still grow even without fertilizer, but again, fertilizing the fields speeds up the process. You can then harvest and take your ingredients to the chef who will create cat food.

The bells are used to find a mate for your adult cats. Now here’s the really cool part!! You are breeding them with another real life player who is also breeding their cats. Different levels of cat bells can be used to find more rare cats. Cat bells, and food, and seeds can all be merged to level them up. The higher the better.

After mating, you and the other person both select one of the two offspring to raise. First come first serve, so be fast to get the cat you really want! The cat will automatically go to your hostel where it will wait for you to give it a name and start leveling it up.

The kittens through breeding inherit the parents markings and also statistics.

And the process continues.

After a cat has been mated one time, that is it. It is retired and goes to the cat hostel where you can still view them. Remember your hostel is limited to 200 cats – whether they’re retired adults or unnamed kittens – so eventually you’re sadly going to have to sell some of your cats.

I think it’d be fun and neat if we could adopt other players’ cats but that’s not a feature (yet) in Flipped In Love.

So that’s it for Cat City.

Back to some of the other features of the game. There are parties which help you earn items and increase your market value. Some of the parties are even cross server. Parties are one of the big features of the game. You can even chat with other players during the parties.

There’s also events to praise or gossip about different players or fight for advertising space. It seems also a new feature is coming soon called Group Battle. All of these things help improve your rank, lower opponents ranks, and bring in coins, diamonds, or rare items.

I think that covers the basics of gameplay.

Story: 7/10 – There are some typos and weird little awkward moments in the story due to the translation. But, the creators are aware and working hard to improve these mistakes. They’re actually offering rewards right now for helping to find such mistakes so that they may be fixed. The story is good, but not unique at all. When I played Flipped In Love the next game on my Iphone right next to Flipped In Love was Project Star… I played Flipped In Love for maybe 20 minutes the first time I launched the app. Then I closed it and opened Project Star…. and woahhhhh Deja Vu…….

In both games you drown in the water. In Flipped In Love you wake up in a stranger’s body. In Project Star, you are still you, but you have traveled into the past 5 years ago. Both games you’re an idol. Both games your boyfriend betrayed you ultimately leading to your death. Both games you want to become an idol to get revenge on your boyfriend.

Alright simple enough. There’s a lot of drama and sneaky people who pretend to be your friends but really jealous of your fame, beauty, and success. There’s a whole lot of backstabbing in this game. But it does make for a deliciously devious game of cat and mouse.

Characters: 5/10 – The characters are stereotypical of these types of games and don’t really shine or stand out in any way from other Otome games. There’s also one plus sized NPC who the others treat rudely, which as a plus sized woman myself, that kinda offends me. The artwork is good, but not as good as some other games.

The guys you can date are handsome, but very much cookie cutter. The tsundere that everyone seems to love – which I can’t stand because I’ve been in physically and mentally abusive relationships – this is not cute or romantic. I know Tsundere or TsunTsun is typical in anime and Korean dramas, but I don’t like those characters. Ugh. He is the most popular by far, as evidenced in the “cheer for him” event going on right now.

Then there’s the childhood best friend – he’s actually my favorite – but still so stereotypical. Every Otome game’s got one, and it’s usually the main cannon route. Plus side, he’s a hot doctor too haha. I like him. He’s sweet. Romance should be sweet. Not Tsundere and rude / borderline verbally abusive.

I think so many people are drawn to Tsundere because on occasion they do show a tender soft side. They do love the main character. And they get embarrassed easily and can’t open their hearts easily which makes them act cold. OK I get that there is some fantasy about “the one who got away” or “unrequited love” or something of that nature that girls feel drawn to these “challenging men” not just in this damn game, but in real life.

I’ve dated probably each and everyone one of these stereotypes in real life, from the childlike happy go lucky type to the “dark mysterious brooding” type – and I have seen that dark mysterious brooding – can well, as the description says – be too dark sometimes. But I’ve also dated someone that maybe just wasn’t great at expressing their feelings and emotions (which could fit the Tsundere also) – and as women we want to nurture and create a safe place for our partners. But at that time, I was also closed off and hurting and not the most open person.

The me now, would have been really good for that person back then to get them to feel comfortable and vulnerable, but the me now, is only the me now, because of the different life experiences the me now has, that the me then was lacking. I do think back like if I had done this or done that or said this or that, things maybe would have went differently. But I am completely happy and marrying my “best friend” in 3 short months now. Maybe that’s why I’m drawn to the best friend type of guy in this game. Everyday, smiling and warm, and cute little inside jokes and sayings and things. Every day lots of cute texts and checking in on me. Reaching out to me, expressing their feelings, etc. I need that “reassurance” – but I never have to ask for it – it comes naturally every single day. I’m so thankful for that. It’d been a few years since I’d had that before meeting this person. I like the calm, gentle, constant compassion and love.

I’m done playing guessing games and chasing after people who are hot and cold – maybe that’s why I hate Tsundere and TsunTsun characters so much – hits too close to home maybe.

But to each their own. With 4 guys to choose from in the game, you can find the one you like best!

By the way, I didn’t rate it low because it had a Tsundere. I rated it low because every one of these Otome Games have the same stereotyped characters: Tsundere, childhood friend, sportsy active competitive type, and arrogant artist type. Like literally every Otome has these – including some of my favorites like Tokimeki Memorial Girl’s Side.

The story is mildly interesting, and creates drama and backstory for the characters which does help them to stand out a little bit, but just not enough. In the end, they all feel pretty flat still, especially when compared to other Otome Games. If you’re going to be “basic” you have to be “a better basic bitch” lol. You have to be the best at what you do. And uhm no, sorry. There’s not like award winning writing here for story or character development. That’s a hard fail. If I want to play a game specifically to enjoy these stereotypes for story and character alone, this won’t be top of my play list. But, I think the reason I keep playing is because of gameplay.

The characters are “good enough” but far from great. Especially when there’s legit like 3 games that have the exact same story and characters just different names and different artwork (and thankfully some different gameplay) That’s why it’s a solid 5 here for characters. Just kinda middle of the road.

Graphics: 10/10 – I can’t complain about graphics. Lots of dressup items – more than in Starry Love – and the cats are so cute and plump I want to hug them lol. There are some super cute dressup items too. Panda purses, cat purses, mickey like ears, etc.

Music: 5/10 – It can be repetitive – especially when mating the cats. I feel like its a 5 second “song” on loop, with a very obvious “stop” and then the music resumes after a split second. One and on for several minutes. And it’s a very… odd… song. With cats meowing. It could be cute but ventures into annoying quickly. The main theme when in the city is VERY pretty and relaxing – but also similarly short – but less abrasive. Less obvious when it’s beginning it’s reloop. It’s a soft beautiful piano theme. I really love the main theme. But most other music – I’ll pass on it. It’s all much too short. Anti-Fans theme is another example of a “song” that’s less than 10 seconds long.

Voice Acting: 7/10 – I think it’s good. I’m not used to hearing Chinese as much as I am used to listening to Japanese (anime) or Korean (Kdrama and Kpop), but I think it seems to fit the characters. I just wish there were more lines that were voiced really.

Replay Value: 10/10 – I’ll play with the cats every day – they’re so cute. I like that you can make totally unique random cats by breeding, which opens up way more possibilities than the basic cats or blind box cats themselves. Nice. My first baby was a male who had glasses and brown “bangs” or “fringe” and flowers on his head and like… christmas lights on his tail…. and tiny rainbows on his feet…. I named him Elton after Elton John – it seemed fitting LOL. I had already found one cat on tour who was blonde with cat-eye shaped sunglasses that I’d named Gaga – so they can sing “A Sine” I guess lol. XD.

But cats aside, there’s other great reasons to play this game, constant events, rare gacha for limited items, dressing up, progressing through the story, chatting with and playing with (or against) other players and so on. The gameplay in this dressup game definitely shines. I find myself playing it more than a lot of my other dressup games when I get a chance. Check it out, I think you will like it too. Just search for Flipped In Love in the IOS or Google game stores.

Oodie Unboxing Review

Hey guys and gals, I purchased an “Oodie” and it just arrived so I’m doing an unboxing and try on review for all of you. You can watch the video above or read through my written review here below.

So what is an Oodie? an Oodie is just an oversize fleece lined Hoodie. You can buy them from http://www.oodie.com

This is not a sponsored review. I just saw a facebook ad and I was like Oh that’s cute. It’s like it’s terrible, ugly, and cute all at the same time. The only thing really making them so cute is the variety of cute animal print patterns they have available.

I chose the otter print which you can find right here: https://us.theoodie.com/products/otter-oodie

I also really like:

The bunny one: https://us.theoodie.com/products/bunny-oodie

Corgi one: https://us.theoodie.com/products/corgi-oodie

Koala one: https://us.theoodie.com/products/koala-wearable-hooded-blanket

Panda one: https://us.theoodie.com/products/panda-oodie

Unicorn one: https://us.theoodie.com/products/unicorn-wearable-hooded-blanket

Avocado Toast one: https://us.theoodie.com/products/avocado-oodie

Bulldog one: https://us.theoodie.com/products/bulldog-oodie

They do have a cat one, but it’s not that cute in my opinion even though I love cats: https://us.theoodie.com/products/cat-hooded-blanket

Like OK – I like almost all of them… And if they were more reasonably priced I’d buy all of them…

Now yes, admittedly, they do have special savings for buying multiple packs, and yes you can select your patterns in those packs…

But for just one oodie it’s regularly priced $99….

THESE ARE NOT WORTH $99 GUYS!! PLEASE!!! I’m sorry, they’re not. That price is CRAY-CRAY!!

I paid $69 for mine…. and I still feel like even THAT price is Crazy. GTFO…. That’s insane.

These are not worth anywhere close to that price.

They should be like $49 regularly priced with like a coupon to make them $29.

That’s the truth OK.

Just from NORMAL WEAR for less than a day, mine had fleece falling off!! $100 for fleece falling off? Get out of here you crazy sons of a…

Like legit all I did was put it on, played some cards, and watched some TV and look, cute picture but I didn’t realize the fleece had pulled off in big chunks and tangled into my hair… until after I took the picture.

My fiance in the pics is just wearing a regular hoodie, not an oodie, and even though it’s not fleece lined, he’s probably still just as warm, and probably actually more comfortable than me, because you know his hoodie actually fits and doesn’t feel like it weighs 20 lbs lol.

My other big complaint is the shade of blue – mine is not as blue as the one in the stock photos. BUT if you look at other people who did reviews, the color is like WAY off in a lot of them!!! There’s one that’s lavender for god’s sake, not even blue. And another one has dark brown otters, instead of the more uhm blonde-ish otters?

I know colors look different on computer screens, but not THAT different lol.

There’s not many reviews for the otter patterned oodie. And I haven’t added mine to the site yet – once I get a cute pic where I don’t have fleece in my face, I will share my thoughts.

In that review, It’d probably be like 3 stars?

Like my big complaints are it’s SO HEAVY…. This company sells weighted blankets too – but to my knowledge, these Oodies aren’t supposed to be weighted? It’s not listed as a selling point, but it puts SO MUCH WEIGHT ON MY BACK AND SHOULDERS – caps for emphasis LOL.

After trying Oodie I can safely say I don’t think weighted blankets are for me.

I like as little clothes as possible. Like if I’m alone being in the buff is the best LOL. I know bad mental image sorry :). But if I have to wear clothes I like dresses and leggings because they’re light weight and not super tight or form restricting. Like I hate jeans for the same reason – soooo heavy ugh.

I want to be freeeee lol.

So number 1, Oodie is heavy!

Number 2 – Oodie fleece falls off – unacceptable for something that cost $100. It’s not like I pulled on it, I wasn’t even active!!! I was sitting playing cards and sitting watching TV that’s IT!!! Unacceptable for the price. Poor quality right there.

Number 3: Oodie is expensive!!!!!!! $99 — Really??? REALLY?! Get out of town. That’s crazy. You know this shit cost them probably like $10 at most to make.

Oodie is FLEECING us – literally – lol.

Number 4: Patterns and Colors are cute but seem to vary widely in what you receive. Case in point the otter oodie – just look at those reviews, where the fook did that lavender one come from? And paler blue than mine? and the majority do have the nice bright “electric blue” color – but color is all over the map. Like I said I totally know color can vary from monitor screens, but – not by that much – not enough to make one lavender – or to make some of the otters brown instead of blonde lol.

OK But those 4 flaws aside…. Yeah I kinda like it. If I hadn’t paid $69 for it, I’d love it and overlook the flaws. If I had paid $49 or $39 for it, I’d give it like 5 stars…. I’m REALLY glad I didn’t pay $99 for this – cuz it’s definitely not worth that much.

That’s my honest opinion. Your mileage may vary.

I still kinda want more oodies – but they are price prohibitive, and quality for the price is not what I would expect at all. Like my fleece shouldn’t be flaking off after just sitting on the couch. It’s never been washed or anything it’s brand new. I have fleece blankets and they don’t peel off everywhere. What’s up with that, huh?

Oodie does have a good deal right now if you buy multiple hoodies, you can save hundreds of dollars – another sign that the single oodie is marked up WAY too high – cuz you know they aren’t going to sell these at a loss in profits. So how can you explain getting like 4 or 5 oodies for the price of 2 oodies?! lol. Stop fleecing us. Lower your non-discount retail price of a single oodie to like 39-49 and I’ll buy damn near every pattern you have – I love the designs enough to overlook the fact that the fleece is fluffing off or that the oodie is damn heavy. lol.

Final verdict: Oodie is cute, warm, cozy, and comfy – but definitely not worth $99 – and not even worth the $69 discounted price I paid.

What do you think? Are you a fan of Oodie? Let me know in the comments section below.

Hi girls! I ordered these fleece lined nylon leggings from some Facebook ad like four months ago that just arrived today. I can’t even remember for sure which brand they are or where I purchased them from.

I ordered three pairs all supposed to be the same just different colors but each pair was a lil bit different.

I try them on for you.

I am 5 ft 5 224 lbs. I carry most my weight in my thighs and ass. I’m usually a size 16 or 18 US or size 1X or even 2X depending on the brand of leggings.

The store only offers one size fits all. Let’s see what happens!

This is not a paid review. I bought these with my own money just sharing my own experiences.

I have three videos for you. I’m copying this description to all three.

Honestly the black ones with lightest fleece fit me well with no cameltoe and a nice color and feel nice and silky but they do snag a little bit but not as much as regular nylons. But they have the least fleece not as warm not acceptable for 20-30 degrees winter outdoor weather but they do look nice on my legs.

The other two pairs two videos almost fit except for major camel toe lol. Not very comfortable but they are warmer and snag resistant.

If you’re wondering if these will fit you I think if you’re like 175-195, the answer is YES, but 200 plus like me, I think the answer is a hard no. No one wants camel toe ever lol.

I assume I’ll get a lot of hate and hurtful comments about my body but it’s OK if my review can help other plus sized women make an informed decision then it’s fine. Fat girls wear clothes too you know lol. I feel like YouTube might delete these videos because of the camel toe but I’ll also be uploading these to my blog at GeekySweetie.com

Razer Blade 15 Quartz 2020 Pink Gaming Laptop Review

This is not a sponsored post. I purchased this laptop direct from Razer and used my own hard earned money to pay for it. I have never owned anything by Razer but the company has long been the gold standard for gaming PCs, gaming laptops, and accessories.

Here is my unboxing video:

Unboxing 2020 Razer Blade 15 Quartz Edition Gaming Laptop

I purchased the 2020 Quartz Razer Blade Laptop on 10/8/2020 and received it on 10/12/2020 with standard shipping. It’s more pink in person. On camera it look…

//cdn.embedly.com/widgets/platform.js

And a bit of my “gaming history” on previous laptops, sprinkled in with some pictures of the new 2020 Razer Quartz Blade 15 Inch Laptop. Followed by some Specs, Benchmarks, and recommended accessories.

The pictures and videos sometimes don’t reflect how pink this computer really is. My own pictures, Razer official pictures, and other people’s pictures really show this laptop as more of a rose gold with a hint of pink, but in person, it’s EXTREMELY pink. Not rose gold at all. So keep that in mind :). None of my pictures or videos have any filters or editing. I tried different lighting and different camera angles to try to get a good idea of how pink it was, but no matter what I did, the laptop is much pinker in person than in the pictures lol. Which is a good thing i think :).

Prior to owning this laptop, I was most recently using an HP Spectre. It was not a gaming laptop by any means. But for me, someone who does not play twitchy games or fps games, etc, it was fine. It has an Nvidia graphics card and enough ram and so on to run the games I wanted to play – which by most people’s standards are casual games – I’m a casual gamer and I’m not ashamed to admit it lol. I love games for girls, otome games, RPGs, Strategy Games, Simulation Games, JRPGs, Visual Novels, and so on. The only time I might need a bit of OOMPH is if I decided to play an online game, like an MMORPG for example. But even then, most of them are designed to run on medium powered computers to capture more sales and reach a broader audience.

Prior to my HP Spectre I had an Asus Rog Strix. It was a nice gaming rig but it was bulky and heavy. And prior to the Asus, I had 3 Dell Alienwares. My first Alienware was my first laptop ever, probably like 20 years ago almost now when Alienware released one of its first laptops. And it lasted quite awhile. But I paid for their top of the line care package and they sent technicians to fix it a few times over the years. At one point it had to get sent in for repairs, and then it was gone for a long time, 2-3 months.

During that time I blogged about my negative experience and one of the Dell Customer Advocates at the time reached out to me “wanting to make it right”. It turned out it was so old (probably between 5-6 years at that time) they were having trouble getting components needed to fix it so they upgraded me to a brand new Alienware with better specs obviously than my outdated one. I was happy so after a few years when it was time to upgrade again I naturally bought another Dell Alienware. It too served me well. I had each Alienware for over 5 years. The only reason I moved away from Alienware was there were more options on the market at a more affordable price point.

I also realized that although I consider myself a gamer, most people would not consider me a gamer because I’m not playing FPS or Arena styled games where every millisecond of response time truly matters. Obviously for the types of games I play, I don’t need a fricken Alienware (or Razer for that matter lol).

My Asus Rog didn’t last as long as my Dell Alienwares. I’m not sure why, but after 2 or 3 years it was dead, wouldn’t even turn on – I’m guessing it was the graphics or motherboard or battery or power supply. I didn’t have any kind of care package and yeah I could have taken it to somewhere like Best Buy and had their technicians look at fixing it. But I decided to just replace it.

HP Spectre had the Nvidia graphics and RAM and Intel processors to get the job done for the types of games I play. and my HP Spectre is still fully working and functioning to this day. My HP Spectre was maybe $700. Half the price of my new Razer.

I really only bought Razer initially because it was so pink. I also know it to be a brand that can play most modern games on high settings. I know as far as specs go it will last me a long time, especially for the type of games I enjoy.

In theory as long as there’s no hardware failures, I should not need to upgrade for probably 7-8 years because I don’t play the types of games that demand the latest and greatest newest technology.

And I’m fine with that because I don’t want to upgrade away from this beautiful pink color.

Before purchasing the 2020 Razer Quartz Blade 15 inch laptop, I was also considering the MSI Prestige Pink Laptop. In all the videos I seen online, the MSI Prestige Pink Laptop looked more pink than the Razer Quartz edition laptops. But after seeing the Razer Quartz in person, I can tell you that it is more pink than it appears in any video.

I think it photographs and videographs as a metallic rose gold, but that is not how it looks in person at all. It is as pink as bubblegum, a flamingo, raspberry icecream, or whatever other pink description you could want to use lol. It’s absolutely not rose gold. It’s full on PINK. I owned a Rose Gold Iphone, and my HP Spectre was Rose Gold (just the lid though). So I know what Rose Gold is and what it isn’t. And this isn’t rose gold. It’s absolutely PINK. But I can’t really show you how Pink it is, because the metallic finish throws it off on camera, but trust me when you get your hands on one, you’re going to be blown away by how pink it actually is. If you want pink this has you covered.

So for me, personally, specs aren’t that important, give me a newish Nvidia graphics card, and a hefty amount of RAM and a decent intel processor and I’m good to go. I also have owned some Radeon computers/laptops and I prefer Nvidia. It’s a personal preference but I’ve had smoother experiences on Nvidia. I think some of Radeon’s problems come from some driver issues, but they’re both fine and acceptable graphics cards for gamers.

But for most of you, you’re going to want to know the specs.

Here’s the link to the 2020 Limited Edition Razer Blade Quartz laptop so you can see the specs for yourself: https://www.razer.com/gaming-laptops/Razer-Blade-15/RZ09-03289EQ1-R3U1

And these specs were pulled right off that page:

  • Windows 10 Home
  • 15.6″ Full HD 144Hz, 100% sRGB, 4.9 mm bezel, factory calibrated

Given the portability of the Razer Blade, connection to online gaming is always a concern. As long as you’ve got a strong enough internet connection and a reasonably good router you should always be ready to game. The Razer Blade features Intel’s new flawless Wi-Fi 6E so it’s important to ensure you have a good internet speed to make the most of it. You can compare broadband deals if your speeds just aren’t cutting it.

The only thing I didn’t like was the small hard drive. I have over 1,000 steam games and I am also a graphic artist and work with large files all day. But I learned a trick: You can play steam games on an external hard drive. So I bought an 8 TB external hard drive at Best Buy that was on sale for $139 regularly $199. And I’m good to go. Things I don’t like about my external hard drive, it’s big, it’s heavy, the cords both the power adapter and usb cable are short, so how could I play it in bed or on the couch. I probably at some point will get a portable external hard drive. They make them as small as a credit card these days up to 2-3TB which is plenty. I think they also make wireless external hard drives… I probably bought mine too soon without really researching what I was buying. Also it’s not pink lol. I have seen pink external hard drives, especially the small portable kinds. But whatever, it works lol. As long as I’m at a desk or a table or have an outlet close to the bed or couch it’s fine.

This was the external hard drive I purchased here from Best Buy:

This is not the first time Razer has released a pink laptop and probably won’t be the last. But each time they launch the Razer Quartz it sells out quickly as it is a limited edition. Older even used Razer Quartz laptops still resell for their original price or even higher on sites like Ebay because it’s so highly sought after.

Other than MSI Prestige Pink there is no other gaming laptop in this color. Some might have colored lids, but the keyboard and bezel is grey or white or black. These two, MSI and Razer are the only ones that are fully from edge to edge truly pink.

There are other Pink laptops out there sure, don’t get me wrong, but not ones designed for gaming. Most other Pink Laptops you see like HP Stream or cheap laptops on sites like aliexpress, have onboard graphics. Intel graphics MIGHT be fine for the types of games I play, maybe, I dunno. I’ve never owned a laptop with onboard intel graphic cards. I hear they’ve gotten better in recent years too, but still light years behind Nvidia when it comes to gaming. But since I play lower end games with less demanding graphics, it might work for me. lol If Microsoft or Intel want to send me one to test, I’d be happy to test it for them and do a nice review :). But until then, I’m gonna stick to Nvidia because it’s made for gamers.

So I know that the pink is pretty and all, but can you play games on this laptop? The answer is yes. Yes you can. Here are some benchmark tests I did to prove that you can play games on the Razer Blade Quartz laptop.

First I tried UserBenchmark.

Here’s a screenshot:

Here’s the text from the test:

UserBenchmarks: Game 63%, Desk 97%, Work 56%
CPU: Intel Core i7-10750H – 88.5%
GPU: Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti (Mobile) – 65.1%
SSD: Nvme CA5-8D256 256GB – 202.6%
RAM: Samsung M471A1K43DB1-CWE 2x8GB – 83.9%
MBD: Razer Blade 15 Base Model (Early 2020) – RZ09-0328

Next I ran a test with Novabench. Here are the screenshots from that test. As you can see it is 3% slower than the standard “high end gaming PC” which I’m guessing is comparing desktop specs. So not bad for a laptop. It’s moderately higher than a mid-level gaming PC – again am assuming the benchmark is using desktop specs. And is more than double the recommended specs to run VR. The laptop is labeled as VR ready, which it clearly is capable of here.

Lastly, I tried Passmark benchmarking software. It scored the lowest on this benchmark. The palm rests got a LITTLE warm, but not hot, and the fans sped up to where you could hear them a little, but not like super loud. Could still hear the TV in the next room, etc.

PassMark Rating

Again it is probably comparing it also to desktop machines which isn’t really fair or accurate because desktop is always going to win. But for me, personally, I wouldn’t want a desktop. I travel and I need to be mobile. I don’t like hunching over a desk all day, etc. I need to be comfortable when I game. I game to relax.

Speaking of that, I ordered a few accessories to help me relax with my new laptop.

I ordered a pink fan to help dissipate heat. It just sits right under the laptop. It plugs into the USB and it’s pretty quiet. It does have a switch to turn up the fan speed. It has six fans, it’s pink, and quiet, it has a nice ledge that helps my laptop not slide forward too when on my lap.

It’s this one from amazon:

No Description

//cdn.embedly.com/widgets/platform.js

I ordered also a large pink lap desk with room for a mouse and my external hard drive. It hasn’t arrived yet. Hopefully it will be large enough for my needs. I chose this one.

link

I haven’t ordered a mouse yet. I have a cheap walmart wireless mouse that’s already pink. I know I want wireless which is what my current mouse is. I’m thinking of ordering the razer quartz atheris mouse although ideally I think I would like Razer Viper Ultimate Quartz wireless mouse. But that price is crazy. And I worry it would be too big and/or heavy. I think I’ll just stick with my little walmart mouse for now.

Someday maybe buy one of these two:

Wireless Gaming Mouse – Razer Atheris Quartz Edition

Razer Atheris Quartz Edition features with up to 350 hours of continuous battery life, 7200 DPI optical sensor, and industry-leading signal stability.

That’s it for my review of my new Razer Quartz 2020 Blade 15 Inch Laptop.

Thanks for reading. I’ll leave you with this video of my cat making biscuits next to my laptop this morning :).

Love Nikki – Dress UP Queen – Anime Mobile Dressup Game Review

Nikki is back in an all new game, and this time, it even has English voice acting. As you may recall, I reviewed  Hello Nikki Let’s Beauty Up awhile back on my blog. Sadly, that game closed its doors a few months ago. As I mentioned in that original review, there were a ton of other Nikki dressup games available in the app store, but none of them had the gacha, rpg, and quest mechanics that I enjoyed so much in Hello Nikki – Let’s Beauty Up.

So I was left Nikkiless for a long time; until one day, I saw a Facebook ad for a new Nikki Game, Love Nikki Dress UP Queen. Love Nikki Dress Up Queen is extremely similar to the old Hello Nikki – Let’s Beauty Up. It’s also extremely similar to Romantic Diary, much more similar to Romantic Diary when compared to the similarities between Romantic Diary and the old Hello Nikki – Let’s Beauty Up, which were admittedly, already pretty similar.

Other Dressup Games you should check out include Line Play, Pokecolo (formerly Pokemini), CocoPPaplay, Miitomo, Dream Girlfriend, Animal Boyfriend, Moe Can Change, Outlander Princess, Dream Boyfriend, and Lady Popular.

Now onto the review!

Love Nikki Dress Up Queen Kawaii Cute Anime Dressup Mobile Game Review

Geeky: 1/5 – The only real reason to play this game is because it’s so mind numbingly cute. Cute as it may be, it is full of bugs – It actually does not run well on my Iphone 6S with IOS operating system 10.3.2 – I can’t see the menus in the dressup, and can’t view tips. I can only access clothes by searching for them by name. Because of this, I play, whenever I can on my PC with a bluestacks emulator to play the android version. I could not get past the tutorial on my Iphone because I couldn’t click where it wanted me to click. And there are still times when I will click and it will be nonresponsive.

If they fix that IOS issue (and yes, I’ve already tried the built in fix utilities), then I’d probably be inclined to give the Geek score a 3/5 because it does feature online play, ranked leader boards, events and quest mechanics, and other interesting features to make it much more than “just” a dressup game.

Edit: Geeky 3/5 – They have fixed the above mentioned bugs (awhile ago, I just forgot to update this). As mentioned the game is more than “just” a dressup game, it features tons of events and online play with other players, as well as limited edition items, a story, quests, and crafting and other features.

Sweetie: 5/5 – So many cute outfits, events, and the characters are all cute. Just packed to the brim with cuteness.

Love Nikki Dress Up Queen Kawaii Cute Anime Dressup Mobile Game Review

Overview: 10/10 – Love Nikki Dress UP Queen takes a lot of what made Hello Nikki Let’s Beauty Up so much fun and throws in a few new surprises as well. If you login each day you get all kinds of rewards, basic login rewards, as well as ongoing event rewards, and other goodies. If you compete in the Stylist Arena you can get ranked against others and earn more rewards. The Arena is broken into seasons and the scores reset with new seasons which help new players catch up. You can enjoy the story mode by challenging various NPCs, or you can dress up freely – the choice is yours. With so many ways to play, Love Nikki Dress UP Queen is sure to keep you coming back.

Love Nikki Dress Up Queen Kawaii Cute Anime Dressup Mobile Game Review

Gameplay: 7/10 — This would be close to a perfect 10 if they could fix the game breaking bugs that exist on the IOS version right now. If you’re playing the android version, then you don’t need to worry about the negatives I’ve mentioned earlier in this review. I just can’t give “gameplay” a high score in good faith, when the game is so buggy (almost unplayable) for IOS users right now. Your Mileage May Vary depending on your device and what version of IOS you’re running. You can also switch freely between both the Android and IOS versions by linking your facebook account and have access to your same account and items in both versions of the game.

Edit: 10/10 The Above Bugs Have Been Fixed.

Love Nikki Dress Up Queen Kawaii Cute Anime Dressup Mobile Game Review

The actual gameplay itself is super solid. As mentioned under overview, there’s several different gameplay modes to choose from, and you can also craft, decompose, dye, and modify your clothes.

Like Hello Nikki Let’s Beauty Up, the main objective of the game is to collect different articles of clothing, and layer and combine them to create new outfits.

In the Story Mode, you will explore various maps; each point on the map presenting a brief story and new dressup challenge. You will be shown tips as to what styles or feelings your outfits should evoke, then you will face off with the NPC where your outfits will be scored on various standards such as warmth, liveliness, purity, maturity, sexiness, casualness, etc. depending on what the challenge calls for.

Love Nikki Dress Up Queen Kawaii Cute Anime Dressup Mobile Game Review

You’re also able to learn new skills as you level up which boost your score, or negatively impact your opponent’s scores when used in battle.

You will receive a letter grade and corresponding reward F through S rank for each challenge. Some maps may require you have a high amount of high ranked challenges to progress to the next map. Other maps may let you by with a C or higher.

In the Stylist Arena, you are paired with other real people playing from all around the world. Unlike Romantic Diary, there is no limit to how many pieces of clothing you can carry into the challenge. You (and your opponent) will have access to all of your items in every arena battle. You can rise to the top of the leader boards each Arena “Season” to get top rewards.

In Free Dress you can just put together whatever outfits you would like and have fun without worrying about meeting certain challenge requirements.

Be sure you look at the events, quests, and get your sign in bonuses every day. Click everything you can click; there’s so many rewards that it can be easy to miss some awesome freebies here.

Love Nikki Dress Up Queen Kawaii Cute Anime Dressup Mobile Game Review

Don’t forget to also collect your free gacha items each day. This is your chance for free rare items! Treasured items are good, but Super Treasured items are even better!

You can also earn retired / out of print outfits for linking your Facebook account or referring friends! So many ways to get free stuff – YAY.

Story: 7/10 Love Nikki Dress UP Queen has a new story to explore. Legend tells of a kingdom ruled by fashion battles. These fashion battles even have the ability to determine who will rule each kingdom as its king or queen. In the latest fashion battle, there was a tie, between a Princess, and a common girl. The Princess was very beautiful and refined with dark hair. The common girl had long pink hair, after the last fashion battle, the pink haired girl mysteriously disappeared, and the Princess became the new Queen. She ruled her kingdom harshly and brought about an age ruled by her cold blade. Nikki finds herself somehow in this strange kingdom, with her talking cat, Momo. Nikki shares an uncanny resemblance to the pink haired girl of legend who could challenge the current queen. Nikki will make her way to meet the queen while encountering strange new characters who either want fashion advice, or want to battle (in a fashion battle that is). – The story is there, and this time it’s even fully voiced, but it’s still not terribly interesting or engaging

Love Nikki Dress Up Queen Kawaii Cute Anime Dressup Mobile Game Review

Characters: 7/10 – all of the characters are voiced, have their own unique sense of style, and all of them are super cute, but it feels like they’re just there to keep you moving from point a to b, and of little story significance.

Graphics: 10/10 – Pastel pink is everywhere. Everything about this game is girly, feminine, charming, cute, and kawaii AF. The ability to layer items, from dozens of different “item slots” makes the dressup possibilities almost endless. The amount of different items also is mind boggling.

Love Nikki Dress Up Queen Kawaii Cute Anime Dressup Mobile Game Review

Music:5/10 – Meh, just average. It’s there, it exists, I just don’t pay much attention to it. It doesn’t get on my nerves, unlike many mobile games that I have to play on mute, but it’s nothing too impressive or memorable either.

Voice Acting: 8/10 – I’m torn on this — It’s the first Nikki game to have voice acting in English — or “first English Nikki Game to Have Voice Acting” period – by that, I mean that Hello Nikki Let’s Beauty Up removed ALL the voice acting from the original game before bringing it to North America – not only did it not have English Voice Acting, but it also removed the original Japanese Voice Acting as well! I was really disappointed by this.

So I’m really really happy that the new Nikki game is fully voiced – I would have liked for it to have included an option to keep the Japanese voice acting — Or if I could only choose one or the other, I would’ve preferred the Japanese voices. But I know there are royalties and licensing fees associated with doing so…

Love Nikki Dress Up Queen Kawaii Cute Anime Dressup Mobile Game Review

The English voice acting is actually… for the most part… not bad…. I’ve met a few questionable characters but on the whole, overall, most of the characters’ voices seem to fit well and deliver a decent performance that is not cringe worthy or over dramatic. I actually kind of really like some of the characters’ voices in fact. So yeah, we have voice acting, and it doesn’t totally suck, so yay lol.

Overall Score: 66/80 83% B “Very Good Game for Girls”

NOTE: if playing the Android version or if they ever fix the bugs in the IOS version, the score would be closer to: 66/80 or 83% “Very Good Game for Girls”

Edit: Bugs have been fixed.

My phone case doesn’t really fit too well in here, and it was a lil difficult to operate, it didn’t seem to support the weight of my phone (or case) too well. Did slightly better when I removed the case. Maybe I just don’t know how to use a selfie stick lol. It seemed “loose” and wanted to flop “forward” from the “square” part that holds the phone… Still cute, but dunno if I’d trust it to hold my expensive Iphone lol.

Also speaking of things flopping forward, Some of the Photo Booth Props seemed floppy – but maybe I’m just a derp and didn’t assemble them correctly. That is about my only complaint in this month’s box.

As always is the case with my Pusheen Box reviews, this is in no way a paid review. They do not even have a referral program. I’m merely sharing photos of all the cuteness because I know it will appeal to my readers.

Final Score:

Packaging: 10/10 – The box is even shaped like Pusheen, the bottom of the box even has jelly bean toes – can’t handle the cuteness.

Quantity of Items: 10/10 – Packed to the top with tons of Pusheen stuff

Quality of Items: 7/10 – this month had a lot of “cheap” “paper goods” such as the photo booth props, banners, balloons, etc. While I was still happy with those (especially given that my birthday is next week lol), I am not used to seeing these lower quality items. Also as mentioned the selfie stick didn’t seem very sturdy to me. — The other items are all super high quality though. And compared to other boxes where you get mostly “cheap” plushies and stationary items, this box still feels higher quality overall.

Size of Items: 8/10 – Many nice larger items such as the Bento, Wireless Speaker, Vinyl Figure, Tshirt, and etc. Offset by a few cheaper/smaller items (mentioned above). Overall, compared to other boxes, Pusheen box consistently delivers more “big ticket” items. Compared to past Pusheen Boxes, the Spring 2017 box has a lot more smaller items as well. Hope this is not a continuing trend in the Summer box. Still mostly satisfied and surprised by the number of expensive, large, nice items. I feel it is well worth the cost of subscription and not just trinkets and baubles.

Variety of Items: 10/10 As always, a nice variety of items, ranging from fashion, to home goods, to toys, to stationary, to even electronics.

Rarity of Items: 10/10 The exclusivity of the items – being only available in this crate and not in any stores, makes this box one of my all time favorites for collector value.

Items Fit Theme: 9/10 Everything is 100% licensed Pusheen Goods. This month’s theme seemed to be a “party” theme and almost all of the items fit this theme, you have food and drink, party decor, music, and memories. It also seemed to have a vague easter theme with the box having bunny ears and the vinyl exclusive this month matching that. Perhaps a better match would have been a party hat Pusheen box and vinyl figure. But that’s a minor thing :).

Overall Value: 64/70 91% A- “Excellent Subscription Box For Girls”

You can play this amazing dressup game for free in your web browser without needing to download or install any software. You can register either by email, or by connecting your facebook account.

Overview: 10/10 Lady Popular Fashion Arena has a lot to offer. You start the game by choosing your hair, makeup, skin tone, outfits, and accessories. As you begin to complete quests within the game, you level up and gain access to new activities such as a photo shoot, new shops to explore, pets to dressup, or even find a boyfriend and dress him up too. It also has a dating sim element and wedding planning element. It’s the perfect game for young girls dreaming of falling in love, being beautiful, popular, and having an amazing career.

Lady Popular Fashion Arena

Gameplay: 8/10 – When you first start the game there will not be much for you to do in the early levels. This can be frustrating, but it does make leveling up and playing every day much more rewarding, as you will gain access to more features that help to mix up the gameplay.

Lady Popular Fashion Arena

Like most games in the Dressup Game genre, the main gameplay focuses on purchasing new outfits and accessories. To earn in-game currency you will complete your quest log, or face off against other real players in ultimate fashion battles.

In addition to dressing up, you also have to undergo extensive training to learn how to become a Top Model. You can choose from many different courses to improve your scores in Style, Beauty, Creativity, Devotion, Generosity, and Loyalty. All of which affect how popular your model is.

Lady Popular Fashion Arena

The user interface and tutorials in the beginning make this a very intuitive game to pick up and play without much of a learning curve. This makes the game great for young girls, even if they’re not experienced playing similar games of this nature.

The extra and unique features that begin to open up as you advance in the game, set Lady Popular apart from many other dressup games that focus only on fashion. As mentioned, Lady Popular also has a dating sim element later in the game and even allows you to plan your own engagement party.

Lady Popular also focuses more on social interaction and encourages you to play with friends, which is different from most dressup games that are more of a solo experience.

A recent update, totally revamped the questing system, making it much more exciting and rewarding to complete your quests which help you advance through the game. Once you begin to advance in the game, the sheer number of shops, outfits, activities, and little touches really hooks you in playing this game each day.

Story: 5/10  There is not much of a story, especially in the early levels. Your imagination becomes the story, and it allows you to choose your own path and determine what type of model you want to be.

Characters: 7/10 The characters in this game are all other models playing the game too. You can interact with your friends in real time, and compete against other players. On the downside, this also means there’s not much of a “story” behind these characters.

Customization: 10/10 The ability to customize everything about your avatar, from her hair, facial features, makeup, outfits, room, and the ability to customize pets and boyfriends, and then even customize your wedding and engagement, make this game a perfect 10 for customization options. You can be a cute, preppy, classic beauty, or rock out an alternative look with bright pink or blue colored hair or anything in between.

Graphics: 10/10 Lady Popular is a very brightly colored and attractive looking 2D game. The interface is intuitive, and the sheer number of clothes, accessories, and dressup items, make this game super cute.

Music: 5/10: Honestly, I usually play games like this on mute, or while watching tv or playing other games. If you’re playing with music on, like with most games of this nature, the music is fine, but nothing extraordinary, and due to the repetitive daily gameplay, the music can get annoying after you’ve heard it over and over again.

Replay Value: 10/10 What makes Lady Popular so much fun is the ability to interact with or against other players, as well as the mini games and other activities which open up later as you level up. To really appreciate this game you need to slog through the first few levels to get to the good parts. After that, you will be hooked by the number of things to do, and millions of different ways to customize your model and shape her life.
