Winter 2016 Pusheen Box Opening

Pusheen Box has now been around for 1 full year – with the first box appearing in Winter 2015. The box is a quarterly subscription service full of cute officially licensed and exclusive Pusheen merchandise. It is by far my favorite Kawaii Subscription Box and I’ve been a subscriber since the Spring Pusheen Box. Each box includes a wide variety of items ranging from home goods, to toys, to clothing and wearable items.

It’s winter, which means for many of us, myself included, it’s cold outside, and also cold and flu season. What better way to find warmth and comfort than with a cup of warm tea! The cute Pusheen tea infuser is perfect for this.

Next up, cute fingerless gloves with a pusheen face that can be buttoned back or worn over your fingers. This is handy because it lets you operate your smartphone etc without taking your gloves off.

The next item goes along with the Tea or Hot Cocoa theme or maybe even great for taking soup to work or school in a cute Stainless Steel Pusheen shaped thermos. The only downside is it is not dishwasher safe and must be washed by hand.

A set of Pusheen shaped Christmas lights – I need to get batteries for mine so I can put them up today before Christmas tomorrow. So cute! After Christmas they’ll be going in my doll room and decorating the window year round 🙂 Would have been better if they could be plugged in instead of battery operated though.

Unboxing Review – Opening the 1st Lootcrate Sanrio Small Gift Quarterly Subscription Box

My Sanrio Small Gift Crate from Lootcrate arrived last week. I see the article I posted when they first announced this subscription is getting a lot of traffic, so I’m guessing you guys want to see some box opening pics right? 🙂 You’ve come to the right place!

Fairly large sized Hello Kitty vinyl figure with tons of glitter all over. It had a really strong paint/chemical smell, but it is pretty 🙂 And the head turns so you can pose it differently.

“Gold” (not real gold of course lol) Hello Kitty Keychain in a beautiful gift box. Nice and heavy. This is a really nice item and was packaged beautifully.

Tshirt, this one was grey with a fake pocket over the chest and the Sanrio crew spilling or jumping out of the pocket. It’s cute but kinda plain-ish.

I’ve had a cold for almost two weeks so I haven’t modeled the shirt just yet since I look and feel pretty rough still lol. It does look comfy and cute though! But I feel although I’m “happy” with this crate (enough to continue subscribing), the value of items seems less when compared to the Pusheen Box which is also a quarterly subscription box. For example, instead of just a tshirt, I received a sweatshirt in the autumn pusheen crate which was thicker and more decorated and less plain looking. Also generally receive household goods as well as the notebooks/stationary items and vinyl figure in Pusheen Crate. The Sanrio crate on the other hand doesn’t have as many “high value” items and is more little items such as charms, stationary, and etc. Still all totally cute though, and WELL over the value I pay for the subscription. Priced at $34.99, the value of this first crate is probably around $55 I’m guessing from the few times I’ve gone into Sanrio stores. Not only that, but a lot of the items in this crate are exclusive to this subscription box making them hard to find collector items and increasing their value. This makes the Sanrio small gift crate a great subscription for anyone who loves Hello Kitty and friends. Lootcrate also offers many other subscription boxes catering to geeks and gamers.
